7 Scariest Theme Park Rides and Their POVs

July 21, 2017

Summer is the best time for rollercoasters and new thrilling rides of theme parks. High-speed wind pasting by your ear best boost the epinephrine and create the mixed addicting feeling of strong heart beating, and temporary breathless. Here are 7 scariest rides across the world, and the POVs.

1. Guardians of Galaxy, California Adventure, CA

Newly opened in May 2017, the Guardians of Galaxy ride is no doubt the most popular, and thrilling ride in Los Angeles's Disney resort. The new ride is remodeled from the previous terror tower and remain the up and down fun, but it rises up and fall, then bump at a much faster pace.

Take a look at this ABC journalist's experience riding this.

2. Takabisha at Fuji-Q Highland in Fujiyoshida, Japan

Known as the steepest roller coaster in the world, Takabisha has a terrifying inward drop angle of 121 degree. Some people (like me!) is already feeling their legs shaking when watching this POV.

3. Gravity Max, Taiwan

The Coaster slowly rise up to 114 feet high, then the bridge rotate, sending riders down at a 90 degree angle. Those few seconds waiting on the bridge may be the most scary moment.

Check this POV.

4. Maverick Cedar Point Amusement Park Sandusky, Ohio

Maverick is the seventeenth roller coaster in the cedar point amusement park. Being the newest and most expensive ride in the park, Maverick provides you a whole 2.5 minutes high-speed experience with enough twists, turns, climbs and drops.

5. Expedition GeForce Holiday Park Haßloch, Germany

No list is complete without this German Beast, which is alway on top of roll coaster fans' lists. The ride is long enough, with speed exceeding 74 mph. Guests can reach 4.5G and a height of 403 feet. Watch this POV to get prepared for one of the best roller coaster in the world.

6. The X2, Six Flags Magic Mountain, CA

The X2 is the world's first 4th Dimension roller coaster, which means your seats will rotate 360 degrees and allows you to make some heads first, face down drops. And the sound effects, music and fire gives it extra fun.

7. Ultra Twister, Nagashima Spa Land, Japan

What makes this ride stands out is that the whole train spins 360 degrees through a channel. Riders get to spin twice, forwards and backwards through the channel. Spin with this POV video.

Maybe have a feeling of death but in the deep mind, knowing that you are safe triggers human's instinct of surviving, thus creating a mixed feeling of fear and excitement. That feeling is hardly to get from our normal life and that maybe the reason why we are so obsessed with those roller coasters, always looking for faster, thriller, higher rides and pushing human limits,
