Elephant sanctuaries have also recently become a popular tourist stop, These establishments focus on ethical, gentle interaction with the animals, many of whom were rescued. You can learn about elephants and interact with them in their natural habitat.
2. Vancouver, BC

Consistently named in the top 5 best cities to live in, Vancouver is definitely a bucket list destination. Whale watching, float planing, and skiing are just a few of the many attractions the city has to offer. It is also known to have a beautiful wine country and botanical gardens. The natural beauty of the area combined with the metropolitan comforts of a city make it a great vacation for any type of traveler.
3. Breckenridge, Colorado

Known for fresh powder and breathtaking views, Breckenridge is both a small mountain town and an expansive ski resort. Between the ski mountain in the winter and many hiking, biking and fishing trails in the summer, this is an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The towns itself is quaint and charming, attracting art fairs and food festivals every year.
4. Santorini, Greece

Santorini is about 120 miles off mainland Greece, and is known as a beautiful and romantic vacation spot. Fira, the largest town on the island looks out over a crescent bay, so many of the hotels and restaurants there have incredible views. The iconic whitewashed buildings with blue trim are almost instantly recognizable, and make for some great pictures! Take the Caldera hiking path from Fira to nearby Oia for some unforgettable views.
5. Prague, Czech Republic

Nicknamed "The City of a Hundred Spires," Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. Its historic, fairytale architecture means that every building harkens back to a different era, so naturally, some of the top destinations are St. Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge, and Prague Castle. There are plenty of museums and points of interest for history buffs, but the city is also known to have some of the best Beer in Europe!
6. Auckland, New Zealand

As the largest city in New Zealand, Auckland is full of adventures. World class sailing, surfing, and kayaking are just some of the reasons to visit Auckland and the surrounding islands. It is also home to the largest Polynesian population in the world, so Maori culture and history is part of the experience. You can also visit the Volcanic Field, which is home to over 50 (dormant) volcanic cones! As another bonus, Auckland SEALIFE Aquarium is home to the world's largest penguin colony. You can stop by to watch the penguins feed, swim, and interact with the trainers.
